“There is no one like the God of Jeshurun, who rides on the heavens to help you and on the clouds in his majesty.” Deuteronomy 33:26 (NIV)
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7 (NIV)
We are in good hands with God. We can trust Him with our lives and with all the lives we hold most near and dear. Do not ever doubt God’s love even in the midst of trials and tribulations. He intends to take us from “strength to strength” as we pass through our Valley’s of Baca (tears). God’s actions towards His children are always motivated by His great love and they are always for our good and His glory (never one surpassing the other). His desire is for us to be conformed into the image of His Son. This is His chief end goal. All the issues of providence will benefit the saint. It would not be worth living in a world without God and without hope.
When God is our Father, we will have a peaceful spirit. The Father is called “the God of Peace” (Hebrews 13:20-21). The Son is called “the Prince of peace” (Isaiah 9:6). The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of peace (Ephesians 4:3). Indeed, peace and rest do not belong to those who are not His. He tell us in Isaiah 30:15: This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it.” Isaiah 30:15 (NIV)
Remember as well, He knows every sparrow, do we think He will forget one of the least of His children? I think not. Cast your cares upon the Lord and He will sustain you. He will never, no never, no never let the righteous fall. You can take that to the proverbial bank.
You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3 (NIV)
