Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. Hebrews 11:1-2 (NIV)
Believer make sure your faith is firm - fixed not on some baseless fabrication of the mind rather upon the Rock of Jesus – depending upon Him and only on Him – the One Who died for our sins and clothes us in His righteousness. He is the Perfecter of our faith. There is no other way we will be able to stand in the presence of God except through the blood of Jesus shed on our behalf. He removes our filthy rags and clothes us in His robe of righteousness. When God looks at the believer in His Son, He sees the perfect life of Christ. Jesus was made sin for us so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. Amazing.
Those in Christ are rooted and grounded in the security of His love. Indeed, we stand firm in it. Our convictions run deep and He is to be our soul’s earnest desire. Our trust is in Him to lead, guide, protect and provide. The God of all creation is on our side. We have Omnipotence to protect us, Omniscience to guide us, and the One Who created all things (including us) to provide for us. He is the anchor for our souls that, BTW, will be forever wanting until we turn to Him. He is our security Who gives us the power to stand firm in all His will mature and fully assured. It is our faith which determines our actions. Little faith will save a person but great faith does mighty acts for God. A great anacronym for faith is: Forsaking All I Trust Him.
We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where Jesus, who went before us, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek. Hebrews 6:19-20 (NIV)
