Believers should consider the power of God available to them at all times. God stands at the ready to help His saints as they call out to Him in faithful trust. It is His desire to equip us through the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit in all that He allows in the lives of His heirs of mercy. We are to embrace this as our superfluous portion from His loving hand and reap all the comfort it provides.
He allows nothing which He will not give His child the sufficient grace, power and strength to walk through or to stand firm in. His grace is sufficient to meet every need and His power stands at the ready - engaged for our assistance - only awaiting our calling upon Him. When the world sees God at work in and through the lives of His saints – particularly when they live contrary to the world’s ways when experiencing circumstances not of their choosing – this brings Him much glory. And the one who gives the power gets the glory – Amen? Our obedience and great comfort come in believing and acting upon this great promise of Scripture. Do any of us need more than the almighty power of God?
God does wonders. A soul not persuaded of this will remain tossed and torn by the waves of their of circumstances. Every threat from man will dismay him. They appear to only have the ability to see the power of man but lack the spiritual eyes to see God at their back. The one who can see themselves wrapped in the omnipotent arms of God will most assuredly “soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint”.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21 (NIV)
